Have you ever tried a walking bible study?

For all of you multi-taskers have you ever tried a walking bible study?  I have and it is great fellowship and fun.  The way we did it was we took a bible study that had a weekly reading and has discussions questions.  Of course we ask everyone to prepare ahead of time, but not everyone does. But that is okay because the facilitator copied and pasted the bible verses off the internet and typed the questions.  You can print the questions and the bible verses on to card stock paper and cut them into large notecard sizes.  Pass out the notecards and ask the bible study members to get a walking buddy (we tried to have people team up with a different person each week).  Walk in twos and threes and go over the questions.  Great discussions develop.  We usually had a three mile route that gives you time to go through most of the questions and fellowship.  At the end, take prayer requests and have a group prayer.  We did this once a week.

Let me know if anyone wants to try this.  OR let me know how it goes.

Great idea as a way to keep God's word alive in all areas of our daily activities. I'll certainly try it.

Our walking group tried this Walking Bible Study and it works, It was really a blessing. We all made sure we read the devotional and bible verse for the day and shared with each other. So at 5:30 a.m. five of us walked and discussed the verse and devotional for the day. It was really encouraging. We will continue with it for the rest of our journey. Thanks Teressa
